You are hereby reconciled to God, and by his blood you have access to the very Throne in the Holies. Now where remission of your sins is, there is no more offering for sin. All temple sacrifices have ceased to be of value or binding.
Who is this God, that pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage in Palestine? He retains not his anger forever, because He delights in mercy. For Christ hath once suffered for our sins, the just for the unjust, that He does bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit. Yes, in the Lord shall all the seed of Palestine be justified, and shall glory, for you have been quickened from your trespasses and sins. Yes, blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. This is the ministry of reconciliation unto your Lord God of Israel, therefore listen and take heart.
Therefore, the ark covenant is replaced by the New Covenant, written upon the heart. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and will be their God, and they shall be my people, and they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord, for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them. This everlasting covenant shall also put fear in your hearts, that you (or I) shall never depart from him.
Therefore, all legal ceremonies are now abrogated by Christ, having their accomplishment in him; yes, He took away the first, that He has established the second. For Christ being a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building, neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood He entered in once into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
And for this cause He is the Mediator of the New Testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Therefore, dear Palestine, whosoever among you shall call upon the name of the Lord shall now be saved, and as you turn unto the Lord, the veil upon your heart is now taken away. He enters into your heart; you, by his blood have access to the Holy of Holies. As the Jewish Levites served the Old Covenant, you Palestinian Nazarites will now serve the New Covenant.
Henceforth, the Lord will now reign in your hearts, never again in the ark; for in this Gospel Temple, Christ is the ark, He is the propitiatory, or mercy seat. Therefore, it is written: I will make a covenant of peace with you, it shall be an everlasting covenant with you; I will set you and multiply you, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of you for evermore.
Thus, the true worshippers among Palestine will now worship the Father in truth and spirit, never to visit again the rudiments of the first Covenant. The ark being no more, the dwelling and enthronement of the Lord shall now be in his spiritual Temple, now erected without hands, in Jerusalem. Verily, the Lord will now be the glory of Palestine; the ark is no more.
The Law was merely for the purpose of keeping the Jewish race a distinct people, and pointing out the Son of God when He came. When therefore, the end of its institution was answered, it is no longer necessary; and Christ, by his death, abolished it, and the sacrificial rites of the former temple. Yes, He forever abolished the Law of Jewish temple ordinances! The temple ceremonies of the Law of Moses are totally and finally vacated, never to be used again.
Thus saith the Lord, They shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord, neither shall it come to mind, neither shall they remember it, neither shall they visit it, neither shall that be done any more. You will never again have occasion for the ark of the covenant, the glory of the tabernacle, or the glory of the temple. There shall be no occasion for any of these external ordinances.
Seeing then as we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. He was made, not after the law of carnal commandment, but after the power of endless life; for it is written, Thou are a priest after the order of Melchizedek. You have such a High Priest, who is set on the Right Hand of the Throne of Majesty in the heavens, a minister to the eternal sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched and not man. For Christ has already entered into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us. He has entered on our behalf to put away sin, once and for all time, by the Sacrifice of Himself, and because He continues forever, He has an unchangeable priesthood, eternal.
